Officers from the Milford Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Old Gate Lane near New Haven Haven shortly before 5 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, when the driver was spotted driving erratically.

During the traffic stop, Danbury resident Cory Feitel, who was a passenger in the car, was found to be in possession of prescription medication. While being interviewed by officers, Feitel attempted to provide a false name, calling himself Javier Alvarez.

Police said that further investigation into Feitel found that he had two active warrants out for his arrest in connection to a pair of larcenies last year when he allegedly stole the wallets and cash from his two victims.

Feitel was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, interfering with an officer and three counts of larceny. He was released on his own recognizance and scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 13 to respond to the charges.
